About The Didi Projects

Life for a person with Sickle Cell Disease in Nigeria is marked by inadequate healthcare. Many lack accessible information about the condition, hindering the ability to manage the symptoms effectively. This gap limits potential with preventable consequences so public education is crucial.

To address this, we launched The Didi Project, a comic book focused on Didi, a child with Sickle Cell Disease. The project uses a mix of panels and factual content to depict her daily life affected by the disease.
